Why should your family rent a Manduca?

Even if the Manduca has been recommended to you, that doesn't necessarily mean it is the ultimate carrier—specifically for you and your baby. If you don't have anyone in your circle of acquaintances who could lend you a Manduca to try out, it is advisable to rent one first before making a costly purchase. During the first four weeks with the Manduca, you as parents will quickly realize whether this carrier is truly the right fit for you. And if it isn't, you will have invested only a small amount. Unfortunately, a high purchase price does not guarantee a universal solution for all parents, as we all have highly individual baby-carrying needs—just as unique as we are ourselves.

Alternatively, perhaps you aren't looking to test a carrier at all, but simply need a sturdy one for your vacation—for those beautiful walks through the woods or along the beach. Renting is an excellent solution for this purpose as well.

We are your Manduca experts; after all, we had the privilege of launching the Manduca onto the market in the autumn of 2007, working alongside its designer and manufacturer, Petra Schachtner of wickelkinder GmbH.

With us, you can get Manduca baby carriers without a subscription contract, because while subscriptions may appear cheaper at first glance, the costs actually accumulate continuously every month over the entire duration. For long rental periods, this ends up far exceeding the cost of buying a new carrier, making it a senseless option. We offer rentals on a strictly monthly basis, covering the full month from the day you receive the carrier until the day you return it. Naturally, shipping time does not count toward the rental period. Should you realize that one month isn't quite long enough, you can book a rental extension right up until the very last day of your rental term. Simply place your order, and we will automatically link it to your existing rental agreement. It truly doesn't get any more flexible than that. And since everything we do is a family-run, hands-on operation, we pour that same level of care and attention into the cleaning process. We treat your baby as if they were our own, and that means every rental Manduca must be clinically clean. We handle the cleaning ourselves, using hypoallergenic methods, so you can focus entirely on carrying your wonderful little one in your Manduca. For all of this, we do not require a security deposit; we simply entrust our Manduca carrier to your care. We place our full trust in you to treat it with care and return it on time. How does the Manduca XT or First rental work?

1. Order your Manduca First or XT rental.
2. We will send you a standard Manduca in excellent condition (mostly like-new).
3. You may test it for one month, starting from the day of delivery.
4. The rental period ends on the day you ship the item back (not the day we receive it!).
5. To extend the rental, simply order the "Manduca Rental Extension" product, and a new month will follow immediately. No matter when you choose to extend, full months are always calculated starting from the date of receipt (Example: Received on March 1st – Ends on March 31st – First extension lasts until April 30th).
